Such is the common acceptance of new wind farms that there was little fanfare at the start of the month when the world's largest offshore wind farm came on line off the Lincolnshire coast. The 54 turbines of the Lynn and Inner Dowsing farm, sited in the shallow waters of the Wash, were completed on time and on budget last year.
